Attorneys' reports, 1843-1848.

This series consists of the Branch Bank's attorneys' reports to the Bank commissioner, Henry B. Holcombe. Included are various types of reports on the collection of debts, lawsuits against the Branch Bank's debtors, orders to sheriffs to carry out writs of execution, sales of slaves to pay on debts, lists of rent collected on lands owned by the Branch Bank, and other reports which depict the overall function of the Branch Bank at Mobile. Each report consists of a report number, name of the attorney, and the amount of sale, rent, or debt. The lawsuits include the title of the suit, the judgment, and a description of the suit. The reports on the sales of slaves include the name of the seller, the names of the slaves, the amount they sold for, and the name of the buyer.
